Challenge

A major toy manufacturer was facing significant challenges with fill rates, attendance, and inconsistent labor quality across multiple distribution centers. They lacked visibility into daily workforce performance and struggled to maintain staffing levels during peak seasons. Additionally, there was limited coordination between suppliers and a lack of accountability on labor delivery. 

Solution

Our dual-delivery approach included centralized program governance and support, and close alignment with our local market teams. In addition, weekly business reviews were held with leadership.

After program set-up we began assessing current employees, transitioning hundreds while simultaneously recruiting and onboarding new workers. Shifts were aligned more closely with days and times of peak production activity.

To assure associate longevity and performance, we employed advanced candidate matching techniques, upgraded the onboarding experience, and designed a red-carpet onboarding event for transitioning employees. We also worked closely with the company’s safety team to ensure compliance.

To improve visibility, we tailored our reporting efforts to cover what was of greatest importance to the client. Fill rates, retention, attendance, and assignment completion metrics were tracked.
